Explore the Walled Garden at Swinton Park, a four-acre working kitchen garden producing an abundant variety of fruits, herbs and vegetables — over 60 varieties, shaped by the seasons.
At key moments in the growing calendar, the garden becomes a true hive of activity. Guided by organic principles, innovative techniques are used to keep insecticide use to an absolute minimum. The course is inspired by what is fresh and in season, with dishes created from produce harvested at the time — and the opportunity for you to taste them as part of the experience, accompanied by a glass of wine.
A hands-on approach is encouraged throughout, with all ingredients and equipment provided.
The course concludes with a guided tour of the Walled Garden, led by Grounds & Gardens Manager, Joe Lofthouse MHort (RHS) MCIHort.
Suitable footwear and clothing are strongly advised in case of inclement weather.
